Holiday party for soldiers and families sponsored
by Giorgio's and Azalea Charities
The spirit of the season was in full swing at the Annual Holiday Dinner for military families sponsored by Azalea Charities and hosted by Giorgio’s Family Restaurant. This event took place on Sunday, December 11, 2011 from 4:30 to 7:30 at Giorgio’s Family Restaurant in Montclair, VA.
Chairperson Karen Barlow acted as the Master of Ceremonies to a crowd of over 90 military personnel and families from Quantico and Walter Reed Army Medical Center. The group was entertained by HOV4, a local barbershop quartet who sang a range of holiday favorites. There were presents for the kids and gift cards for the military personnel. Giorgio’s presented a gourmet holiday feast that included ham, turkey, and beef, along with all the trimmings.
According to Frank Lasch, Chairman & Founder of Azalea Charities, “It wouldn't be Christmas without this party. It gives the community a chance to interact with our military families and thank them for their dedicated service to our nation."
