Team Azalea Charities runs a successful 2012 Marine Corps Marathon
This year’s Marine Corps Marathon was run in the morning, just in time to miss the wicked weather that came later that day from Hurricane Sandy. Team Azalea Charities had 161 men and 109 women running, with 158 indicating that this was their first Marine Corps Marathon and 98 indicating that it was their first marathon ever.

The majority of runners were in the 20 to 49 years old range.
We had 2 runners in the 60 to 69 age range. -
57 runners were from Virginia, DC or Maryland

6 runners were from Canada; 25 from the UK, 27 from Denmark,
2 from Belgium and 1 from Ecuador -
We had a high number of runners from the US Military -
USA 16, USMC 27, USAF 4, USN 9, National Guard 2.
26 were Active Duty and 14 in the Reserves -
Everybody did a great job.
