In July, Azalea Charities asked nationally known artist Dean J. Baer to consider supporting Azalea Charities 2007 fundraising activities, in particular our Aid for Wounded Soldiers project. Mr. Baer, an Air Force veteran, responded to our request by creating a painting called Proud Warriors. The Proud Warriors image is now available in both note card and open edition prints to be sold online in support of Azalea Charities.
“On behalf of Azalea Charities, we are delighted to have Dean Baer’s support and work associated with our cause.” said Frank E. Lasch, Sr., President and CEO of Azalea Charities
“I am honored that Frank contacted me about supporting Azalea Charities and their Aid for Wounded Soldiers project. A selfless project with an admirable mission of providing comfort and relief items for soldiers, sailors, airmen and Marines sick, injured or wounded from service in Iraq and Afghanistan. The request inspired the ‘Proud Warriors’ painting, a depiction which I believe captures the proud spirit of our soldiers.” said Baer.
Open edition prints and note cards of the Proud Warriors image are now available through the Azalea Charities online Store. Limited edition prints of Proud Warriors will be released this fall, and available at:the Framing Outlet, Montclair, Virginia. The original painting is currently on display at the Framing Outlet.
